Team Chat

Lakeville MTB uses Google Chat as our team's messaging platform in addition to email. All student athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers are invited to the teams chat space after completing registration and will need to use a personal Gmail or non-Gmail Google account to sign-in and join a space. The invitation and adding of users to groups is manual and can take several days, please be patient and check back to browse spaces and join.

Step 1: Download the App

Download the Google Chat App for iOS or Android.
Sign-in with your personal Google account used to register with the team.
Make sure your Google account contains the correct spelling for your first and last name.
Student athletes under the age of 13 require permission to use a parent/guardian's Google account.

Step 2: Select New Chat

Step 3: Select Browse spaces

Step 4: Select Join

Using a non-Gmail address to create a Google account

You can use a non-Gmail address e.g. hotmail, icloud, yahoo or a custom domain to create a Google Account and use this account to sign in to Google Chat. Currently ISD 194 Google accounts can only be used to apply and/or register, complete forms and receive team emails and are not enabled for Google Chat.

To create a Google Account with a non-Gmail address:

Go to the Google Account Sign In page
Select Create account
Select For my personal use
Enter your first and last name
Select Use my current email address instead
Enter your non-Gmail email address
Create a password and confirm it
Google will send a verification code to your email
Enter the verification code and click Verify
